Neşe Üstün

Dr. Neşe Üstün graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. After passing her specialization exam in 1995, she worked in the field of Clinical Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry, Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine from 1995-1996. In 1996, she successfully passed the exam again and began working in the Neurology Department of Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital. After working in the clinical and intensive care units of this department for a year, focusing on neurological diseases, she successfully passed the exam and began her specialization training in the Psychiatry Department of Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital. In 2002, Dr. Neşe Üstün became a Psychiatry Specialist and, after successfully passing the written and oral exams with her prepared scientific publication file, she earned the right to work as Chief Assistant at the same hospital. Continuing her duties as Chief Assistant at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital until 2025, Dr. Neşe Üstün has also been involved in assistant training, thesis supervision, and research activities in addition to patient follow-up and treatment services. He has published works in national and international journals, and has presented numerous written and oral papers at conferences.

She has participated in patient follow-up and research activities at the Women’s Mental Health Unit and Mood Disorders Center of Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital. She has received training in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, Psychodynamic-Oriented Psychotherapies, Interpersonal Relationship Therapy, and EMDR. She uses these therapy methods in addition to medication when treating her patients.
