Ayşe Topak

After completing her education at Private Sainte-Pulchérie French High School, Clinical Psychologist Ayse Topak continued her education at Istanbul Bilgi University Psychology (English) programme. During her undergraduate education, she continued her psychology education at Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier in France for 6 months within the scope of Erasmus+.

She completed her internships at Yagmur Cocuklar special education and rehabilitation centre and the psychiatry polyclinic of Bakirkoy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital, related to the child and adolescent population.

She was selected for the “Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship” by the Turkish Education Foundation and the Turkish Embassy in France and continued her postgraduate education in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Tours in France.

She worked with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, mental retardation, conduct disorder, learning disability and some genetic disorders at the education and rehabilitation centre called “IME La Boisnière” in Tours, France.

She worked with children at the age group of 0-6 in the early medico social diagnosis centre called “CAMSP” in the paediatric service of Center Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Tours Hospital. Here, she conducted studies on premature birth, various genetic disorders, conduct disorder, anxiety disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, developmental disorder, etc. pathologies. She applied scales such as WPPSI-IV, Brunet-Lézine, and Griffith’s. She also took part in systemic family therapies.

She successfully completed her postgraduate degree by writing two separate theses on examining social media addiction in the adolescent and young adult population, “The profiles of cyber addicts: a comparison of a group with social media addiction with a group without social media addiction in the light of depression and emotion regulation skills” and “a case study on the use of Psychological measurement tests examining the 0-6 age child profile in early medico social diagnosis centres”.

Clinical Psychologist Ayse Topak provides services in both Turkish and English at Moodist Hospital.
