Semanur Konuk Düzgün graduated from Istanbul Social Sciences High School in 2009. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (100% English) at Istanbul Şehir University, with a full scholarship and an honors degree. She also graduated from the English Sociology Double Major Program at the same university. After her graduation, she was accepted to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Thesis Clinical Psychology Program in the same year. She received the title of “Clinical Psychologist” with her thesis titled “Examination of the Effect of Cognitive Flexibility, Intolerance of Uncertainty and Psychological Well-Being Scores on Difficulty in Emotion Regulation in Adults”. During her education, she completed her internships at Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital, Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospital and various private psychological counseling centers and carried out voluntary work in many non-governmental organizations and associations.
Between 2021 and 2023, she provided individual and group psychotherapy services at Sultanbeyli Community Center and, provided training to the local people on many subjects such as psychological first aid, emotional regulation and stress management, with the support of the municipality.
Her main school of work is Schema Therapy, and works holistically with schools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emdr, Emdr 2.0, depending on the needs and predispositions of the client.
She is a member of the Turkish Psychologists Association and the Schema Therapy Association, and a writer for the “İyi Hissetmek (en. Good Feeling)” magazine.
